History

There Was A Small Village Called Asota In The District Of Nagaur (Rajasthan). The Day Was Saturday In Samvat 1811, & It Was The Auspicious Day Of Shravan Shukla-Navami. A Jat Farmer Was Ploughing His Field, When All Of A Sudden The Plough Hit Some Thing & The Sound – “Thlikk” Was Heard. He Dug That Place & Found An Idol Covered With Sand. When His Wife Reached There With His Lunch Packet, He Showed Her The Idol. She Cleaned The Idol With Her Sari & Saw That The Idol Is Of Lord Hanuman. They Towed Their Heads With Devotion & Worshipped Lord Hanuman As Balaji. The News Of The Appearance Of Lord Balaji Spread In The Village Of Asota Immediately. The Thakur Of Asota Also Heard The News. In His Dream The “Thakur” Was Ordered By Balaji To Send The Idol To Salasar. The Same Night, At Salasar, A Devotee Of Lord Hanuman By The Name Of Mohandas Saw Lord Hanuman Or Balaji In His Dream. Balaji Told Him About The Idol Found At Asota. Mohandas Immediately Sent A Message To The “Thakur” Of Asota Who Was Surprised As To How Mohandasji Knew Minor Details Of The Idol Of Lord Hanuman Without Coming To Asota. Certainly It Was A Kindness Of Lord Balaji
